I would have understood that :) Glasgow central has a platform 11A which confuses people as its a 1/4 mile from the front door.

I missed two trains going Dumferline from Haymarket as my brain refused to proccess platform 0, Platform 0 naa must not be allocated yet I thought two trains later I found platform 0.

Yeah me too, one of my friends was on that train and she finally got home at 22:30! Still, could have been worse, she could have been driving the car :-)

Lucky you - I got caught up in the fallout...at 2126. My train from Manchester (booked via megatrain.com for £20!!) arrived at Haymarket at 2120. I noticed the next train to Inverkeithing was 2126, result I thought. My delight was shattered when the station announcer mentioned that it was going non-stop to Dundee...and that my next train was at 2154 :-(

Still, I got to do my caring and sharing thing by helping a mother+child with their luggage - we had, after all, legged it from platform 2 (the usual platform) to platform 4 (which involved lots of stairs!)

The 2154 terminated at Cowdenbeath...all remaining passengers were given a taxi ride home! That must've cost a pretty penny.

I got the train this morning, not the train I usually get as the one I caught was 97 mins late; so it should have been in Cardonald at 7am. I like trains when there are empty and on time.
