Windows Live is… well, Live!

I am a Technical Evangelist for Developer Express, my work blog is here but this one is more fun. :-)

Yep, yesterday the Windows Live Product set (including mail, SkyDrive, Writer and OnceCare) went live, get it here. Ah at last, the live version of Windows Live Writer, how long have we all been using the beta version; seems like years? Hat tip to Microsoft's own Blue Monster. :-)

Yeah it's not the best, especially when you already ticked the boxes for what you wanted before you dowloaded the installer, then when you get the installer you have to repeat the process. Hmmm, don't think this went near a HCI team.

Yes, it is beta 3 now! We've still to get to RCs before we'll get a release.

I hate the new installer. You only want Live Writer and you get all this other Live crapola unless you check this, uncheck that, change this value ... gggrrrr!

Windows Live Writer is still the beta! Just downloaded and installed it and the About is still showing it as beta.
