The BBC is to pay viewers who send in user-generated content, but only for material that is "particularly editorially important or unique", MediaGuardian.co.uk can reveal.

This is important news for people like me (vloggers) who work in the "user generated content" space. Not because anyone is going to get rich off of providing such content for the BBC, but because it's the first time that, the so called, main stream media has recognised the value of such content.
