Visual Studio - Certificate Error when Compiling

I am a Technical Evangelist for Developer Express, my work blog is here but this one is more fun. :-)

I checked a project out of our repository and tried to build it. It failed to build, citing the error "unable to find the manifest signing certificate in the certificate store". To fix this error, uncheck the "Sign the ClickOnce manifests" checkbox, on the "Signing" tab, on the project properties page.

well i tried uncheck the “Sign the ClickOnce manifests” checkbox, on the “Signing” tab project The bulding succeeded but as soon as i click publish' It auto checked itself back to display the same error.
I also tried create test certificate which to seems to work but got nervous when i could not change the expiry date
I am now very confused

Will the application actually freez on that expiry date?
Or
Is it just a fake? Justs for the test?
